"What your trainer doesn't want you to know
can hurt your income."
The ProBalanz System
At Duffy Fitness Institute, our world-class
ProBalanz System will provide the ultimate strategy
to an athlete's performance on and off the field.
This scientific approach to Sports Training in
Irvine, Ca will educate the athlete's
physical, nutritional and mental being in the most
specific way.
Evaluation Protocol
Consideration is given to past and present
conditions through an in depth interview to achieve
a complete history of each athlete. Precision
instrumentation is used to determine the athlete's
spinal curvature, head carriage, range of motion,
length tension relationships and force couple
relationships. We continue with a biomechanical
assessment to follow the athlete's current primal
pattern and gait analysis.
Implementation
Protocol
After the evaluation we take the criteria and
information and design an off season and on season
program that will keep each athlete at an
appropriate energy level. We will implement a
correctional phase if structural imbalances are
detected or if injuries need to be addressed. The
goals fo the athlete are met with neuromuscular
isolation exercises that are administered in a
controlled environment.
If the athlete is currently working with a strength
or speed coasch, we can integrate as the corrective
exercise specialist, to enhance the performance of
both. This ProBalanz System is the most advanced
approach to sports performance today. You will
improve flexibility, strength, stability and gain
power in your specific sport.

Sports Training Assertions:
Strengthen
Vastas Medialis "VMO" - Essential for
helping the kneecap to track properly and reduce
injuries. A weak VMO affects sprinting and
jumping adversely.
Strengthen Hamstrings - Hamstrings
should be able to produce 66% of the force of
quadriceps. Kenn stability is affected
immensely. Strong Scapulae Retractors will
dramatically improve a slumping head posture,
which cause's shoulder impingement and
subsequent injuries.
Strengthen External Rotators -
Athletes must have strong external rotation to
stabilize the shoulder and to be able to endure
repetitive movement patterns.
The
only way to go for the serious athlete is The Full
Evaluation or The Biomechanical Assessment. It is an
in depth process that includes two visits. The first
is about 90 minutes and is used to determine past
and present medical conditions, physical
restrictions, trauma issues,
and musculoskeletal
dysfunction so that a program may
be designed
specifically for you to help you meet your goals and
improve your game as quickly as possible. After your
first appointment, your specialist will spend a
great deal of time putting together a program
specifically for you and your sport. Your next
appointment is used for introducing
that new program
to you and is included in the cost of your
evaluation.
Sports - Training Soccer
"Since most soccer players weigh less than 200
pounds and soccer is not a traditional American
sport, many players and authorities have established
many myths regarding physical conditioning for
soccer. Generally speaking, the most common myths or
misconceptions are that soccer is an aerobic sport
and that strength training isn't necessary for
success in soccer. In actuality, soccer performance
is hindered by the excessive amounts of aerobic
training and inadequate strength training in many
players. Proper use of aerobic, anaerobic, and
strength training is paramount for success in soccer
at any level. Today, both male and female soccer
players need to know how to train properly to be
able to run intermittently at high speeds for 90
minutes and be able to both win and keep possession
of the ball on the ground and in the air. Very few
players today at any level are training properly in
order to possess these physical attributes and many
players are training in a way that guarantees
injuries over a matter of time.
The only way to go for the serious
athlete is The Full Evaluation or The Biomechanical
Assessment. It is an in depth process that includes
two visits. The first is about 90 minutes and is
used to determine past and present medical
conditions, physical restrictions, trauma issues,
and musculoskeletal dysfunction so that a program
may be designed specifically for you to help you
meet your goals and improve your game as quickly as
possible. After your first appointment, your
specialist will spend a great deal of time putting
together a program specifically for you and your
sport. Your next appointment is used for introducing
that new program to you and is included in the cost
of your evaluation.
Sports Training - Football
"Summer is here, and, while some athletes will go on
vacation to an exotic location with their sweetheart
or head up to the cottage for a little rest,
football players should be preparing for the
upcoming season. I am a big advocate of making sure
each player has an individualized workout plan, but
sometimes this ideal situation is difficult to
accomplish. When a coach asks Duffy Fitness trainer
for a team-training schedule, we at least break
their program down by position. Enough of the blah
blah blah, let's get after it.
Football players love to train in the weight room,
and this is great, but at DFI we also like to make
sure that this newly developed power transfers well
to raw functional football strength. Football is a
game where a player takes a few steps and then has a
brawl. And it is legal! What other sport allows you
to go out and do this without being suspended or
arrested?
How do you achieves true functional strength while
maintaining the weight room power you have worked so
hard to achieve? Easy, we implement functional
training methods like flipping tires, push and pull
cars, sled work, log pressing and the use of a few
interesting non-traditional implements. |
